Cofense General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer Shane McGee to Speak At 2021 RSA Conference
Leesburg, Va. – May 6, 2021 – Cofense, the leading provider of phishing detection and response (PDR) solutions, today announced that the company’s General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer, Shane McGee, will speak at the 2021 RSA Conference. McGee will serve as a panelist for the session, “Defend Forward: Moving Toward Coordinated Active Cyber Response” (LAW-T14). With more than 20 years of experience helping security and technology companies navigate the legal and policy environments they operate in, McGee will bring a unique perspective on the intersection of law, privacy and security.

As General Counsel, McGee is responsible for all of Cofense’s legal affairs. He is a member of Cofense’s executive team, and acts as a strategic business partner by providing advice and oversight in several areas including privacy, compliance, and ethics. In addition to his privacy credentials, Shane is also a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP). Prior to Cofense, McGee served as Chief Privacy Officer at FireEye. Previously, McGee was General Counsel for Mandiant where he managed legal affairs and negotiated and finalized the acquisition by FireEye.
