Centrify goes 3-for-3 as a PIM Leader in 2020

This week, The Forrester Wave™: Privileged Identity Management, Q4 2020 report was published and Centrify was named a Leader among the 10 vendors evaluated based on 24 criteria.

This is the third report this year that Centrify has been recognized as a leader in privileged identity/access management, following the 2020 KuppingerCole Leadership Compass for privileged access management (PAM) in the spring and the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for PAM this summer.

This most recent report, in particular, offers a few insights about where Centrify believes the PIM market is heading, and how we are expanding our position as a leader.

The headline of Centrify’s vendor profile reads, “Centrify leverages SaaS, shifts focus to DevOps and cloud PIM.” This summarizes several points mentioned in the report including, “The newly launched delegated machine credentials step up Centrify’s DevOps game…” referencing our approach to seamlessly incorporate privileged access management into the DevOps pipeline.

We believe it is also validated by Centrify receiving the highest score possible (5.00) in the SaaS/cloud criterion within the current offering category. Forrester summarizes our vendor profile by noting, Organizations that want a SaaS-based vendor with granular endpoint access management controls across Windows and *nix environments and strong AD bridging should buy Centrify.”

Finally, we are especially proud to be the only vendor out of the 10 evaluated to receive the highest score possible (5.00) in all three sub-criteria of the “Least privilege access control” criterion.:

  1. Least privilege – access control and authorization (5.00)
  2. Least privilege – identity governance (5.00)
  3. Least privilege – authentication (5.00)

We believe that this score, in particular, supports our focus on granting least privilege access for humans and machines based on verifying who is requesting access, the context of the request, and the risk of the access environment. We enforce this with an identity-centric approach, based on Zero Trust principles.

We’d like the opportunity to prove to you why we believe we are the best option for modern privileged identity management to empower digital transformation at scale.
